Note: If your motorcycle is not listed above, please contact customer service to confirm whether this product is compatible with your motorcycle before placing your order!!

Incompatible Motorcycle Models:

1. Non-EFI (Carbureted) Models: Carbureted models are not equipped with an ECU and do not require a diagnostic cable. The jumpers are solely designed for ECU diagnostic needs of EFI motorcycles;

2. Older Models Without a Diagnostic Interface: Motorcycles that do not come with an OBD system;

3. Models with Incompatible Special Protocols: A small number of brands adopt dedicated diagnostic protocols other than K-line/CAN-line (e.g., customized ECUs for certain retro models), which the jumpers cannot match.

Device Operation & Compatible Models

I. Device Operation Logic

Detect the definition of interface pins (positive pole, negative pole, K-line, CANH/CANL) with a digital multimeter, then use jumpers to connect to the OBD2 scanner accordingly. Its compatibility is not limited to a single brand, but applies to models that meet two core conditions:

1. Vehicle Type: Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) motorcycles (must be equipped with an ECU system; carbureted models have no ECU and do not require a diagnostic cable);

2. Communication Protocol & Interface: Supports K-line or CAN-line (CANH/CANL) communication, and the diagnostic interface is 3-10 Pin (Document 1 confirms "3P/5P interfaces enable effective diagnosis, while 4P/6P etc. are also compatible").

II. Brand-Specific Compatible Models

Based on the interface characteristics of major brands, the specific compatible models are as follows:

1. For Honda

- Compatible Models:

- EFI models after 2017: CBR1000RR, CBR600RR, VFR 800, CRF1000 (Africa Twin), CB1100, NC750;

- Other EFI models with 4Pin/6Pin interfaces: e.g., street bikes and sports bikes under the PGM-FI system (For Honda's mainstream EFI system), such as CB650R, CBR500R;

- For Honda EFI motorcycles meeting National IV or higher emission standards (all For Honda models have been fully EFI-equipped since National IV and are equipped with OBD systems).

- Compatibility Logic: For Honda mostly uses 4Pin/K-line or 6Pin/CAN-line interfaces. The jumpers can be connected accordingly after detecting pins (e.g., positive/negative poles, K-line of 4Pin interfaces) with a digital multimeter.

2. For Yamaha

- Compatible Models:

- EFI models with 4Pin interfaces: e.g., MT series (MT-07/09), YZF series (YZF-R3/R6) under the YDT protocol (For Yamaha's dedicated diagnostic protocol);

- Waterproof models with 6Pin interfaces: e.g., For Yamaha outdoor off-road models compatible with Elecbee 6Pin connectors (supports waterproof needs and adapts to the positive/negative poles/CAN lines of the jumpers);

- For Yamaha EFI motorcycles meeting National IV or higher emission standards (e.g., NMAX155, XMAX300 and other models with OBD systems).

- Compatibility Logic: For Yamaha's 4Pin interfaces mostly support K-line, while 6Pin interfaces support CAN-line. The jumpers can match both communication types.

3. For BMW

- Compatible Models:

- GS series models with 6Pin round interfaces: e.g., R1250GS, F750GS (dedicated 6Pin interfaces based on CAN-line protocol);

- Other For BMW EFI models: e.g., S1000RR, K1600GT and other models with 6Pin/CAN-line interfaces.

- Compatibility Logic: For BMW's 6Pin interfaces correspond to the CANH (Pin6) and CANL (Pin14) definitions of OBD2, and the CANH/CANL of the jumpers can be directly matched.

4. For Kawasaki

- Compatible Models:

- Classic EFI models with 4Pin interfaces: e.g., Ninja 400/650, Z900 (For Kawasaki's traditional 4Pin interfaces supporting K-line);

- Some new models compatible with OBD2: e.g., Z1000SX, Ninja H2 (requires converting OBD2's 16Pin to For Kawasaki's 4Pin pins via jumpers).

- Compatibility Logic: The positive/negative poles and K-line of For Kawasaki's 4Pin interfaces can be detected with a digital multimeter, and the jumpers can realize connection with the OBD2 scanner.

5. For KTM & Other Brands

- Compatible Models:

- For KTM models with dedicated interfaces: e.g., Duke 390/790, Adventure 790 (dedicated 3P/5P interfaces supporting K-line/CAN-line; pins need to be confirmed with a digital multimeter);

- EFI models of other brands meeting National IV or higher standards: e.g., For Suzuki GSX series (4Pin/K-line), some For Harley-Davidson EFI models (6Pin/CAN-line).

- Compatibility Logic: All EFI models supporting K-line/CAN-line with 3-10Pin interfaces can be adapted by detecting pins with the jumpers.

III. Key Usage Tips

Even if the model meets the above criteria, two steps must be completed before use to ensure compatibility:

1. Confirm Pin Definitions: Use a digital multimeter to measure the voltage of each pin of the motorcycle's diagnostic interface (e.g., K-line: 5-11.5V, CAN-line: 2.5V, positive pole: 12V, negative pole: 0V);

2. Connect Jumpers Accordingly: Insert the "+/-/K-line/CANH/CANL" of the jumpers into the corresponding pins of the interface, then connect the other end to the OBD2 scanner.

Upgraded Version Motorcycle Scanner:

V880 MOTO is a Motorcycle Diagnostic Tool specially developed by VEHLIVE for motorcycle enthusiasts. It supports the engine system, has complete OBDII/EOBD diagnostic functions, and is equipped with a 12V battery testing function. It can read diagnostic fault codes (DTC), engine fault lights (CEL), clear error codes, conduct real-time data monitoring, freeze frame data, be I/M ready, perform EVAP leakage tests (carbon canker checks), retrieve vehicle information (VIN/CIN) and DTC lookup, conduct on-board monitoring tests, and retrieve ECU information.

Voltage Testing:

Motorcycle System Diagnostic Test Measurement Tools is equipped with an integrated battery testing system, which monitors the battery status of the motorcycle through a diagnostic interface and displays the current voltage value in digital form. By conducting battery tests with Battery Tester for Motorbike, you can detect any battery-related issues early on and take appropriate measures.

Quick Test:

Motorcycle Code Reader Scanner can quickly scan, identify and read the codes of all systems of the current model, report the assembly status of all systems and whether each system has fault codes, and provide detailed descriptions of the assembly status and fault codes of the systems. All fault codes can be cleared with one click. Additionally, a one-click I/M ready hotkey can be used to display the ready status of various sensors. One-click display of data streams, etc. with waveform diagrams

Easy to Use :

Motorcycle OBD2 Scanner is equipped with 98,963 DTC codes, allowing you to immediately identify motorcycle issues without an Internet connection. Plug and play, one-handed operation. The 2.8-inch color screen makes it easy to view the results. The keys are made of silicone, the shell is sturdy and durable, and it is equipped with a high-quality 2.5-foot (76 cm) heavy-duty diagnostic cable. It is a great helper for motorcycle repair.
